Rose Abuk is a South Sudanese Child Protection Expert with a strong passion for empowering marginalized women and girls in South Sudan. She has been a prominent advocate for girls’ education and an end to child marriage. As a Youth and Family Case Manager in AngliCare – Australia, Rose provided trauma-informed, youth-focused case management, supporting marginalized youth and helping families maintain child protection safety plans.<\/p>

Rose is a certified trainer on the IMPOWER program, which equips women with skills to handle situations of sexual assault. She has worked with various organizations including UN Women, UNFPA, UNDP, and others. Previously, she served as a GBV Program Manager at Women Agency for Resilience and Transformation (WART) and now leads as Executive Director, overseeing a team of over 100 full-time staff and 300 volunteers across South Sudan.<\/p>

She holds a Diploma in Gender and Women Studies and a Bachelor’s degree in Social Science (Gender Studies) from Charles Sturt University, NSW Australia. Rose is part of the “She is the First” movement, advocating for equal opportunities for girls and women globally. She is also a member of the South Sudan Human Rights Defenders and South Sudan Women Networks, leading the WART Secretariat.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Dr. Beebwa Julius serves as the Programs Manager at Women Agency for Resilience and Transformation (WART.) Julius is a public health specialist with extensive experience designing and implementing integrated Health, Nutrition, and WASH programs. He has led emergency response efforts, health systems strengthening, and community-based interventions, and contributed to developing national policies and strategies. He holds a Diploma in Project Planning and Management, along with certifications in Nutrition Policy and Disaster Management. Pita Grace serves as the Monitoring, Evaluation, Learning, and Accountability (MEAL) Manager at WART, where she applies over seven years of experience to create impactful MEAL frameworks, manage complex data sets, and facilitate crucial program learning. Her technical proficiency includes SPSS, STATA, KOBO, ODK, and DHIS2, supporting stringent quality assurance protocols for various projects. Pita earned a Bachelor\u2019s in Business Computing from Uganda Christian University and is currently pursuing a Master\u2019s in Monitoring and Evaluation, having also completed professional development in project design, theory of change, and proposal writing. Guided by her belief in collective strength \u201cTwo are better than one\u201d she actively promotes teamwork and collaboration. Mike is an experienced development professional specializing in resource mobilization, donor engagement, and multi sectoral program design across South Sudan and East Africa. He has managed funding and partnerships with WFP, UN Women, UNESCO, UNMISS, and USAID.Mike\u2019s expertise spans proposal development, grant writing, project planning, M&E, and procurement. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Purchasing and Supply Chain Management and is pursuing a Master\u2019s in Project Planning and Management.
