Dr. Benjamin Kioko

Head of Programmes

Dr. Benjamin Kioko is a health professional with over 10 years of experience in South Sudan, specializing in health programming and system strengthening. He has collaborated extensively with various government health agencies, including the Ministry of Health, State Ministry of Health, and County Health departments. From 2019 to 2022, he served on the strategic advisory group for the health cluster in South Sudan.

Dr. Kioko holds a Master’s Degree in Public Health from Makerere University in Uganda. His expertise includes health program implementation, system strengthening, and emergency response. He has developed and managed multiple funded projects, working with donors such as SSHF, GAVI, IOM-RRF, UNICEF, DT Global, and Caritas Luxembourg. Additionally, he has conducted baseline and rapid needs assessments in coordination with other agencies, including OCHA.

With six years of management experience, Dr. Kioko has successfully overseen numerous humanitarian and development projects in South Sudan. As Head of Programmes at WART, he brings valuable project planning and management skills, along with strong interpersonal relationships with key stakeholders, to ensure effective program implementation.
